Scheduled service F runs every day between Innsbruck Airport and the main railway / bus station from 5.59 to 22.59. The journey takes about 17 minutes and the bus passes the Old Town and Maria-Theresien-Strasse in the city centre. It is a 10-minute walk from the station to the city centre.
There is a tourist information office at the main station (9.00 – 19.00), plus shops and a supermarket (open every day). Within walking distance of the station there are hotels in a different categories. Only 5 minutes from the airport is Sporthotel Penz, www.sporthotel-penz.at.
The main station is the hub for generally good bus and tram connections to the holiday villages and skiing areas around Innsbruck, such as Igls or Axams (renowned for the Winter Olympics) or Mutters, Natters, Götzens and Birgitz.
Visitors with luggage and ski equipment may take the bus from the main station to the ski villages in the Sellrain valley (Sellrain, Gries im Sellrain, St. Sigmund-Praxmar and Kühtai). These buses may be used free of charge when arriving and departing.
